Telephone Interview
30 Month Contract, Full-time
Selected candidates are expected to work in the Albany NY Office, 2-3 days per week
Day-to-day tasks:
"Design and develop the application per business requirements.
"Participate in JAD sessions to assist in the preparation of use cases and other design deliverables.
"Provide J2EE, WebSphere, JBoss Enterprise Application Server, web services, Oracle, IBM MQ, FileNet, and Client Mainframe integration application development expertise.
"Provide software configuration management for Java applications, with such utilities as Hudson, ANT, Maven, Jenkins and SVN.
"Interpret requirements, seek clarification as needed and estimate, propose, prototype, and develop solutions that integrate within the existing technology stack where required, but are improvements and in line with ITS future direction when required.
"Provide technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct demonstrations of work in progress and completed work to business subject matter experts and other technical staff.
"Provide mentoring to State staff and other contract resources in all tools as required
"Provide troubleshooting and end-user support and problem resolution.
Software Architect
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
