DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position serves as a supervisor and exercises considerable latitude in determining and pursuing courses of action necessary to design, develop and/or modify real-time embedded software applications.Supervise all phases of assigned engineering project(s) from inception through completion, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.Provide technical direction and supervise the work assignments of software developers on the team.
Oversees work output for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to development processes and standards.Plan for real-time embedded software development within the broader organizational scope.
Ensure alignment with predetermined long-range goals and objectives determined by the organization.Formulate detailed long-range plans for the implementation of software solutions including language, coding, platform, resource requirements, testing, and documentation.Plan and coordinate the deployment of real-time embedded software applications, including cross-platform compliance while ensuring the availability of necessary resources.Plan and coordinate the maintenance of real-time embedded software solutions, including debugging, maintenance, and updates to ensure viability in an evolving environment.Plan for future applications based on new developments in computer technology.Serve as project and/or program spokesperson; act as an advisor to management and customers on software matters, communicate with the software developer group(s), and publish and present technical papers.Provide leadership and act as an advisor for determining technical objectives for user requirements and specifications.Oversee and promote the career development of individuals on the team.
