**Description**
We are seeking passionate engineers to elevate the HomePod speaker experience in the Home ecosystem.
You will participate in prototyping and shipping audio experiences, optimizing performance.
The team works at the forefront of technology from core Apple system components to integrating the newest models and agents.
You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Apple, including Siri, Music, AirPlay, and Home, in bringing these audio experiences to the HomePod.
We seek individuals with experience in media, API design and development, expertise in distributed systems to help build conversation audio experience for our users.
The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background with an understanding of system level development, integration of devices with cloud-based services, analyze performance and optimize in complex multi-process environments.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 3+ years development experience with Obj-C C/C++ Swift coding, debuggers
+ Understanding of system level development and core CS fundamentals, such as multithreading, abstractions and distributed systems
+ Experience integrating with ML models
+ Knowledge of agentic architectures
+ Should be comfortable about living in other people’s code and understanding large, multi-project codebases
+ Experience with industry software engineering processes including unit test development, performance measurement, quality engineering and design group collaboration
+ Ability to break down high-level feature requests and architect practical solutions
+ Experience in API design and development
+ Expert knowledge of Objective-C or C/C++ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
+ Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
+ BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with Audio Media, voice assistants and similar technologies is a plus.
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
