What you'll do
+ Drive the delivery of applications and services that power our visual experiences at scale.
+ Manage and grow a team of talented software developers, focusing on mentorship, performance, and long-term career development.
+ Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering leads to align team initiatives with broader company priorities and ensure consistent execution.
+ Establish and evolve team processes and technical practices to support high-velocity, high-quality software development.
+ Partner with stakeholders and leadership to define and deliver on the product and platform roadmap.
+ Support your team in designing scalable, observable, and maintainable systems, while keeping an eye on tech debt, reliability, and developer experience.
+ Play a key role in hiring: evaluating candidates, onboarding new team members, and helping grow a diverse and inclusive engineering organization.
+ Drive cross-functional collaboration, reinforcing company values, and modeling excellence and accountability across the team.
Requirements
+ 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
+ 8+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, production-grade backend systems.
+ Experience owning mission-critical applications, services, and APIs.
+ Strong technical instincts, able to guide architecture decisions, make trade-offs, and drive clarity through ambiguity.
+ Proven track record of coaching and growing engineers at all levels, focusing on long-term growth and team health.
+ Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
+ Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and autonomy is expected.
+ Familiarity with our stack (React, Django, AWS) is a strong plus, but equivalent experience in similar environments is welcome.
