**Description:** The Cyber Secure Software Application Security team is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Cyber Software Engineer to join our Application Security team, who possesses not only a strong technical foundation in software development and cybersecurity, as well as exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovative cybersecurity solutions.

As a Cyber Software Engineer on the Application Security team, you will play a key role in strengthening the software assurance posture for our AMMM Line of Business (LOB).

You will collaborate with top-tier professionals to identify vulnerabilities, construct threat models, and support integration of advanced tooling to automate processes and strengthen Lockheed Martin's security posture.

Key Responsibilities
• Conducting comprehensive assessments of code to uncover security vulnerabilities and map potential attack vectors
• Managing partnerships and relationships with Software Development teams to integrate static and dynamic analysis capabilities into their pipelines
• Support integration of advanced tools to automate the security assessments of software products
• Developing the execution of fuzz testing protocols on embedded systems to unearth latent weaknesses and fortify defenses against potential exploits
• Evaluating open-source packages to identify vulnerabilities and maliciously implanted software
• Managing and maintaining the team's current tooling and responsible for maintaining cost & schedule performance within the context of their projects.
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Program Managers, the customer, and other internal LM teams.
• Development of new policies and procedure to standardize and improve how we secure our software products at LM Aero.

**Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Experience in software development, cybersecurity, or related field
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Ada, C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and standards
• AMMM software development experience is a plus
• Experience leading engineering projects
• Active Security Clearance
**Desired Skills:**
• Embedded software development experience (Ada, C, C++, Rust, etc.)
• Knowledge of or experience in multiple types of front end development
• Scripting/CI experience (Gitlab, Jenkins, Python, bash, etc.)
• Containerization tool experience
• knowledge of or experience with relational databases
• Experience on multiple operating systems including Greenhill’s or similar
• Understanding of secure coding principles, cryptographic protocols, and threat modeling techniques
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as vulnerability scanners and fuzz testing frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability and proficiency in collaborating across diverse teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills
• Experience with cost and schedule management for engineering projects
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to learn rapidly and work independently
• Advanced Cyber Security Certifications a Plus
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
