The Minecraft Marketplace Player Facing Services team powers the service behind Minecraft’s Marketplace, one of the main revenue drivers for the entire game.
These services support hundreds of millions of Minecraft players helping them find content they will enjoy playing.
We are constantly looking for ways to personalize the marketplace, provide recommendations to players and provide a fun experience within the marketplace.
The C# services run on K8 clusters with Linux containers, utilizing many Azure technologies.
The Software Engineer II’s, role will be to collaborate with peers across various disciplines (Dev, Design, Production, Quality) to build quality products and services that delight customers and add strategic value to Minecraft.
Identifying technological opportunities for improvements and working with the team to implement these changes are a key part of the role.

+ Implement features with efficient code that meets existing coding standards and uses established patterns.
+ Break work down into smaller tasks and provide high-confidence time estimates.
+ Effectively communicating, both within the team and across the organization.
+ Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call tomonitorsystem/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and initiates actions to restore the system/product/service when appropriate

**Qualifications**
**Required** **Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, Java,
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years experience building RESTful application program interfaces (APIs),utilizingdesign patterns to ensure code is robust,offloadsprocessing whenappropriateand that are designed to scale.
+ 1+ years developing and coordinating features using Microsoft Azurecompute, storage, cache, Virtual Machines (VMs), containers, subnetting, auth, content delivery networks (CDNs), orutilizinga comparable cloud-based web service provider.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Understanding oftest- and performance-drivenmethodologyto build services that ensure our services are secure, robust and handle extremely high scale.
+ Experience inwriting code in C# and/or other related languages.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
