Software Engineer - .NET
The Corporate Systems development team at Millennium is looking for a Software Engineer to work on our Investment Professional applications.
Our middleware platform is built on .net core and interfaces with several independent systems.
This is a role with high visibility and growth that has responsibilities that include critical data distribution components for one of our most important datasets.
You’ll be working with developers from across the firm who build systems in support of our business processes.
The right candidate will have great interpersonal skills and a willingness to go above and beyond when collaborating with Product Management and Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the architecture, design and build of the API and Kafka trader data distribution platform.Work closely with BAs, business partners and technology teams to understand and translate business requirements to implementations.Build application components including API, Messaging, UI/UX and reporting solutions.Develop an in depth understanding of the trader data and end users use cases.Qualifications/Skills Required
3+ years software development experience in C#Experience building services for API and messaging platforms.Demonstrated ability to model complex integration workflows and data.Experience developing on messaging and API platforms for asynchronous events and data distribution.
With primary focus on Kafka and Rest.3+ years of Relational Database development experience with strong knowledge writing complex SQL and Stored Procedures.Understands and practices DevOps principles for build, delivery and support of mission critical applications.Thorough understanding of testing software at all levels and ensuring delivery of high-quality softwareProven ability to work with business teams, understanding complex calculations and successfully implementing a commercial-like solutionDesirable skills/experience:
Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with proficiency in at least one framework such as Angular, React/Redux, or EmberKnowledge of hosting applications in AWS (EC2, RDS, Cloud Watch, etc.) and working knowledge of Linux OS
