The Launch and Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking an experienced Software Engineer.

The position is located in Boulder, CO – Boulder is nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and only 25 miles from downtown Denver.

Due to the nature of our work, full-time in-person work is required.

**Position Overview:**

As a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and debugging of software applications.

This includes researching, identifying, and implementing solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary software problems.

**This requisition may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.**

This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer level.

**Basic Qualifications for Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer:**

+ **Software Engineer:** Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
+ **Principal Software Engineer:** Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of related work experience.
+ _Linux experience_
+ _C++ and Python proficiency_
+ _Object Oriented Programing (OOP) experience_
+ Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs (only if needed)
+ Applicants must have an active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application and is required to start; with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Containerization tool experience (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker products, Podman, etc)
+ Configuration Management Tools (Git etc.)
+ CI/CD experience (Jenkins etc.)
+ Agile development exposure
+ C++ templating

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
