Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee the installation of APA Solar Racking systems for both ground mount and rooftop projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and promoting effective productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
Responsibilities
+ Develop and evaluate productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service.
+ Perform daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to ensure compliance with Issued for Construction drawings, correcting any defects in a timely manner.
+ Manage construction to project schedule to ensure on-time delivery and completion.
+ Ensure all regulations are met and required permits are acquired, coordinating with Utilities and other Permitting agencies.
+ Proactively identify elements of proposed project designs and construction requirements that could lead to disputes or increased costs.
+ Provide professional oversight to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
+ Monitor, evaluate, and report on the operational and financial status of construction projects.
+ Communicate effectively with internal departments and external subcontractors and suppliers regarding revisions and addendums.
+ Evaluate and approve all payment applications and invoices related to construction capital projects, ensuring budget compliance.
+ Manage field operations, including the execution of subcontracts and component procedures.
+ Select vendors, contractors, and subcontractors that provide exemplary, professional service in a cost-efficient manner.
+ Exercise professional judgment in subcontractor selection to complete construction projects while maintaining productive relationships.
+ Maintain consistent and accurate records of activities throughout projects, including final reviews post-completion.
+ Work safely and adhere to all applicable safety policies, complying with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
+ Schedule projects, material shipments, surveys, and other types of daily scheduling.
+ Supervise all solar installation activities and ensure the safety and compliance of solar projects.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience as a superintendent with a focus on solar and electrical installation.
+ OSHA 30 certification is required.
+ Experience working on projects ranging from 3-5+ megawatts for commercial/utility scale.
+ 3+ years of experience in site construction management in commercial and utility-scale solar PV fields.
+ Direct experience in managing projects more than 1 Megawatt and all aspects of solar projects, including Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical.
+ Knowledge in the solar and construction industry.
+ Ability to prepare reports, budgets, and maintain records.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Products, including MS Project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
+ NABCEP Installer certification is preferred.
+ NFPA 70E certification is preferred.
Work Environment
This role is primarily performed outdoors on a job site, exposing the individual to various weather conditions, including inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
