This position is reserved for Active Military Personnel looking for internships through the DoD SkillBridge program.

of Defense Instruction 1322.29.

This program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days.

Mercury SkillBridge is open to all ranks and experience levels provided they meet the minimum requirements for the position listed below.

SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Mercury, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as Active-duty service members.

Mercury Systems is looking for a top performer to help complete a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

To be successful, you will need to d emonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity, daily hours will be from 2:30pm to 12:00am and overtime is available and encouraged.



You will be responsible for:


+ Install, assemble, and inspect electronic components during product assembly, per documented work instructions.

Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.



+ Performing a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.



+ Performing pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.



+ Using hand and/or power tools and, jigs.



+ Modifying, soldering, reworking, repairing assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.



+ Other duties as assigned by Lead or Supervisor.




Required Qualifications:


+ Must currently be in the US military and SkillBridge eligible

+ Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.



+ 5+ years of electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount),

+ Must be able to work for extended hours utilizing a microscope to perform inspection and solder touch-ups.



+ Hand soldering experience is required.



+ Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.



+ High School Diploma or GED.




Preferred Qualifications:


+ Rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly.



+ Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.



+ IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification preferred.



+ Good written and verbal communication skills.



+ Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs.



+ 10 plus years related experience preferred.




This is a SkillBridge internship opportunity and does not offer compensation outside of your normal DoD pay.



This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.

You may only access such information if you are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. government.
