**The Role**

The Principal Solution Advisor possesses knowledge of at least one of these areas of Supply Chain Management:
• Supply Chain Logistics
• Enterprise Asset Management
• Product Life Cycle Managemet

**Deal Support**

• Organize superior sales presentations and solution demonstrations covering SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customer audiences.

The presentations must articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences including C-Suite executives.
• Personalization of sales content / demos to ensure delivery of a simple, appealing and compelling customer presentation.
• In advance of a demonstration or key presentation, conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer to build relationships with the customer and understand their unique needs.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP solutions and appropriate industries and maintain credibility with prospective customers.

Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
• Support RFx completion in support of customer proposals.
• Ability to effectively present to customers “remotely” using virtual technologies.
• Provide post-sale support to key customers primarily to the project/implementation team to ensure a smooth transition.
• Able to lead as a Solution Captain when deals require complex solutions and require multiple participates to support a successful customer presentation or demo.
• Effectively leverage support teams who are there to support sales success.

(Global / Regional Solution Specialists, Industry Advisors, Value Advisors, Digital Hub, Solution Experience, Product Management).

**Demand Generation**

• Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely.
• Lead & support Design Thinking workshops to promote new and innovative solutions for customers and prospects.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.
• Support the development and execution of a digital presence (video recordings) of SAP solutions.

**Sales Readiness**

• Participate in trainings in the latest new releases of our SAP Software and develop close relationships with sales teams in order to promote the new products
• Participate in demo system design and planning.
• Participate in new product release input and testing and training of peers.
• Serve as a champion for or participate as a leader in Solution Hubs and provide knowledge transfer to colleagues as needed.
While people might not use word “Guru” out loud to describe you, it is what they will be thinking!
Qualifications and Experience – Do yours line up?

**Experience:**

• Federal or Aerospace & Defense Industry experience required for this role
• SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP solution knowledge
• Prior experience in the areas of US Public Sector (State / Local Government, Higher Ed, K-12 Finance)
• Understanding of Funds / Grants / Budgeting for Public Sector preferred
• Experience in Solution Advisory, consulting, or software implementation project experience highly regarded
• Prior experience at an SAP Customer highly regarded
• Superior presentation and written communication skills

**Education:**

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree (preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics or Business/Economics)
• MBA or MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering: optional
• SAP Certification(s): optional

**Compensation Range Transparency** : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role.

The targeted combined range for this position is 194100 - 330000(USD) USD.

The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc.

as determined through the selection process.

Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
