Job description

About the Position


The Education Leadership & Inclusive Teaching Department maintains a vacancy pool of qualified persons interested in temporary, full and part-time teaching positions.

In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track teaching positions on a part-time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full-time appointments.

Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.


Teach courses and/or supervise practicum placements for pre-service teachers training to become special education teachers and/or early interventionists in the content areas listed below.

Instructors follow the course syllabus and department policies.

Student course evaluations must be completed for every course taught and submitted to the Department Chair.

Specialization in any of the content areas listed below is helpful.

• Special Education Law and Standardized Assessments Required Qualifications
  • MA or MEd in special education or related field

  • Teaching experience

  • Commitment to working with diverse students, faculty and staff, including cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD or EdD in special education or related field
  • Conditions of Employment
