Job description

Special Needs Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional.

ABOUT THIS JOB:
We are looking for playful, high-energy staff seeking full-time employment at the Tomball location!].

You must have a passion for helping kids learn and have fun! You will lead the kids in educational activities/games and make sure all safety rules are followed.

We also take our kids on field trips! If this describes you and you are looking for an ABA company that makes you love coming to work each day, please apply!

ABOUT SOS:
Success On The Spectrum is a learning center for children with Autism.

We assign one teacher (known as a behavior technician) per child.

We teach the children to talk, pretend play, feed themselves, make friends, etc.

SOS will give you hands-on training.

We have weekly team trainings and quarterly in-service training days.

SOS will pay for you to become a registered behavior technician, obtain a CPR certification, and QBS Safety Care Certification. 

Staff members get a performance review every 6 months.

Behavior Technicians have the opportunity to be promoted into Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or a Trainer.

If you want to advance your career in the ABA field further, SOS will help you become a BCBA! Success On The Spectrum has obtained several national partnerships with universities around the country.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Work In Center Monday - Friday 7:45am-4:00pm.
  • Implement Lesson Plans (created by the BCBA).
  • Incorporate sensory activities into the lessons (Arts/Crafts/Activities/Games).
  • Record notes into the software.
  • General End-of-day Cleaning duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma (College Degree preferred).
  • No criminal background.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift at least 40 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active.
