**Location: Hybrid: This position is based in Isabela, Puerto Rico.

In line with DXC’s onsite policy, candidates living within 25 miles (40 km) of a DXC office are required to work onsite 2 days per week**

**Essential Job Functions**

+ Collaborate with the software development team to design, code, and test software solutions, focusing on developing and maintaining critical components.
+ Support in the application and development.
+ Work with senior team members to meet project requirements and deadlines, actively participating in design and code reviews.
+ Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving in software development, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
+ Participate in the development and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
+ Debug and resolve complex production issues, working closely with senior engineers and support teams.
+ Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices, researching and proposing innovative solutions.
+ Assist in mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.
+ Take ownership of challenging technical tasks and collaborate on architectural decisions.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering preferred
+ **Must be bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish**
+ 2+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role and years of experience in software engineering
+ Proficiency in any of the following: Perl, Windows, Oracle/SQL, HTML, CGI, Unix/Linux, CSH, Cron, Python, Java
+ Experience in analyzing and documenting
+ Application support and application developer
+ Strong programming and debugging skills
+ Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies
+ Strong problem-solving skills
+ Good team collaboration and communication abilities

**Work Environment**

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
