**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity, and enabling analytics and reporting across the organization.

This role requires strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of cloud data solutions and proficiency in orchestrating workflows using ELT tools.

This individual will work cross functionally with various individuals within the IT team and business process owners to develop data processes from business specifications.

Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

**HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**

+ Develop scalable data processing solutions using Snowflake and cloud-native services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
+ Develop and maintain robust ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse, Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, airflow or similar cloud native products.
+ Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

+ Automate data quality checks and implements governance standards.
+ Design and implement dimensional models and data marts to support reporting and analytics.
+ Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across the data ecosystem.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
+ Optimize performance and cost of data infrastructure and queries.
+ Write unit and integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and document work.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**

+ 5-7 years in Data Engineering with hands-on experience on building data pipelines in modern data cloud technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, and cloud-native data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
+ 5-7 years of experience in SQL/PL-SQL.Advanced experience with Snowflake, including:
+ Developing dynamic stored procedures and user-defined functions (UDFs) for reusable and parameterized logic.
+ Implementing Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Time Travel for orchestrating incremental loads
+ Managing semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML) and optimizing performance through clustering and materialized views.
+ Configuring RBAC, resource monitors, and data sharing
+ Strong expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool):
+ Building modular and maintainable dbt models with Jinja templating and ref-based dependencies.
+ Implementing dbt tests (generic and custom) to enforce data quality and integrity.
+ Managing dbt documentation and exposures to support data lineage and governance.
+ Using dbt snapshots for slowly changing dimensions and historical tracking.
+ Integrating dbt workflows with Git-based version control and manual promotion strategies across environments
+ Experience in process design and documentation
+ Experience leading and mentoring the team on pipeline design and best practices
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
+ Preferred qualifications in understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT best practices, and data governance.
+ Python programming skills preferred.
+ Experience with CI/CD, Git, and workflow orchestraion tools (e.g.,Airflow) preferred.

**SALARY RANGE**

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
