Job description

Our client, a digital agency in NYC, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Digital Project Manager with deep experience in managing complex eCommerce website projects from strategy through launch for an ongoing remote contract.

This role will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of digital initiatives that drive revenue, enhance user experience, and optimize site performance.

The Senior Digital Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination across internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, proven expertise in eCommerce, and a passion for driving digital innovation.

This is an ongoing remote contract working EST hours.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end management of eCommerce website projects, from initial planning through implementation and post-launch optimization.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including UX/UI, design, development, content, QA, and marketing to ensure project success.

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, vendors, or agencies.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet business objectives, user experience standards, and technical requirements.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, roadblocks, and dependencies.

  • Track and report on project progress, milestones, and KPIs to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Drive process improvements and adopt best practices in digital project management methodologies.
    • Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 4 years focused on eCommerce websites.

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce).

  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale digital projects simultaneously.

  • Expertise in agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors/partners.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • PMP, CSM, or similar certification preferred.
