Position Summary
The TAIP Insights & Innovation (I&I) Lead is a senior leadership role within Bristol Myers Squibb’s Trial Analytics, Insights, and Planning (TAIP) organization — an internal consulting team that accelerates clinical development through advanced analytics, innovation, and strategic resource planning.
As the leader of the I&I function, you will shape the vision and multi-year roadmap for how data, tools, and foresight can enable smarter, faster, and more consistent trial execution.
You’ll be responsible for developing scalable, repeatable methods, building and embedding next-gen tools (including AI/ML accelerators), and delivering portfolio-level analytics that inform critical decisions on speed, cost, quality, and resource strategy.
You’ll work in close partnership with the Head of TAIP and stakeholders across Global Development Operations (GDO), IT, Clinical, and Portfolio Strategy to ensure I&I is delivering actionable insight and driving measurable impact.
You will also lead and grow a high-performing team of analytics and innovation experts, fostering a culture of capability-building and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader with a passion for data-driven transformation and a track record of delivering enterprise-level impact in clinical development or life sciences consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Operationalize the I&I roadmap, service model, and delivery approach to enable effective TAIP Trial Delivery
Drive portfolio analytics to track performance, flag risks, and guide planning across speed, cost, and quality
Lead design and deployment of tools, templates, and AI/ML accelerators for scalable, repeatable insights
Oversee TAIP resource analytics, including attrition, demand forecasting, and scenario planning
Govern standards, best practices, and toolkits to ensure consistency and scalability across the enterprise including external benchmarks and best practices
Represent the I&I function in governance forums and collaborate with GDO, IT, Clinical, and Portfolio Strategy teams
Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and capability-building within the team
Applies critical thinking to analyze complex data, challenge assumptions, and generate strategic, evidence-based recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Preferred advanced degree (e.g., MSc, MPH, PharmD, PhD, MBA) in a relevant field
Experience:
10+ years in analytics, consulting, or clinical strategy roles, with a strong record in pharmaceutical or biotech settings is required
Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and innovation initiatives in clinical development
Deep experience in portfolio analytics, AI/ML-driven tools, resource planning, and trial operations
Skills:
Strategic thinker with the ability to shape and execute a multi-year innovation roadmap
Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Skilled in building high-impact tools and methods that enable operational transformation

The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility.
Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
