Description
The World-Wide Technology Deployment (WWTD) team is looking for an experienced Sr. Infrastructure Readiness PM to drive Pre-Deployment Activities for highly complex Robotics retrofit deployments.
This person will be an entrepreneurial self-starter, with experience in Design, Preconstruction and Construction and MHE/Robotics technology.
The IR PM will work cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managing Robotics retrofit deployments from initial concept through final robotics deployment, with particular attention paid to critical utility and infrastructure needs.
This individual will help build new processes and playbooks, provide leadership regular status reports, collaborate with internal stakeholder teams, interface with external Architects and General Contractors all while being an escalation point for Amazon Robotics onsite teams.
The ideal candidate has passion for building processes with excellent analytical abilities, technical skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
You must demonstrate the ability to efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources across multiple projects and working groups spanning design and technology.
This position requires you to manage stakeholder expectations, schedules, budgets, assets and scopes—because organization and attention to detail are in your DNA.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners.
You will make decisions and find solutions quickly and with confidence and not expect someone else to show you the right way forward.
You are the right person for this position if you take ownership of your work, display a great deal of initiative, possess common sense & sound judgment.
This position requires up to 70% domestic travel.
Key job responsibilities
Core Competencies/Responsibilities (will vary based on program & project type):
• Manage projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners.
• Act as the single point of contact for TD to interface with GES D&C team members.
• Manage Cross functional Schedules on complex AR Retrofit BAG programs, starting from site identification through final project handover.
• Review/Redline Construction Plans, ensuring scope is clearly defined and meets AR specifications.
• Evaluate site feasibility including delivery access and general prototype program requirements
• Create construction estimates for new capital projects.
Create and track project budgets from initial site evaluation through project close out
• Lead weekly meetings to keep all partners aligned on scope, schedule, permitting and budget.
• Publish weekly business review that provides transparent, accurate, detailed status reports.
• Responsible for on-site supervision during the construction process to include management of General Contractors, and Owner vendors.
• Participate in the design development process to collaborate and value engineer construction methods to reduce time and cost.
• Manage change order negotiations and contract compliance.
• Escalation point for Tech Deployment partners when encountering utility/construction related blockers.
• Ensure contractor compliance Safety/OSHA requirements are met on all sites to minimize risk.
• Drive and oversee the creation and continual improvement process related to Construction SOP’s, Master Service Agreements, Bidding procedures, GC qualifications, and other legal and process documentation.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10+ years in construction management or architecture demonstrating progressive responsibility and growth within the industry
• 10+ years of complex large scale project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• 5+ years of verbal/written communication along with ability to influence stakeholders at Director levels+.
• 5+ years’ working within highly ambiguous environments and/or leading rapid scaling
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in Design or Construction Management of Fulfillment Centers.
• 15+ years of complex large scale project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• 10+ years of technical program management working directly with engineering teams along with ability to influence stakeholders at Director levels+.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
