OVERVIEW
Experienced project, team and water control department leader able to approach agricultural and engineering initiatives from different angles, including technical, financial and business requirements.
The position will involve overseeing the water control operations of FCC, including managing various budget streams, including routine, special projects, capitals and replacements.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily oversight of personnel and equipment pertaining to water control operations in a fast paced and dynamic environment Coach, counsel and educate team members on company and Human Resources policies and proceduresSupport Florida Crystals Corporation’s Work Rules Policy; partner with Human Resources to take corrective action as neededComply with and enforce Florida Crystals Corporation’s Environmental Health and Safety Policy (EHS) (See Policy), must understand and adhere to all Florida Crystals Corporation’s policies and proceduresAttend safety meetings as required by FCC safety policies and goalsMust be able to prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, maintain records and compose correspondence as required Must be able to prepare and orally present data and updates whenever necessary WORK EXPERIENCES
Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in an agronomy related role, with responsibilities associated to earthwork and agro-construction related projects EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS and Certifications
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Science.
MS Preferred SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Thorough understanding of agricultural operations, with emphasis on drainage and irrigation.Able to identify and implement new technology in daily operations of drainage and irrigationStrong understanding of BMP practices, collaborating with Ag. Directors and Managers to ensure proper implementation Basic Knowledge of Precision Agriculture (Preferred)Must be able to function independently, demonstrate flexibility and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Exercise good judgment and solid thought process Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, other management staff and senior level managementAbility to respond to inquiries and/or complaints from team membersAbility to use computers, mobile devices.
Microsoft Projects such as word, excel and projects.
Experience using SAP preferred.
Solid communication skills – requires the ability to effectively communicate verbally and written.
Ability to effectively present information to senior management and team membersMust be able to coordinate multiple duties of an urgent natureMust be available to work during weekends and holidays when necessaryMust obtain user and blaster of explosive license through FCCBilingual Preferred (Spanish)
