**Your New Role** **:**

WBD SAP Reporting & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Manager who will be responsible for providing technical expertise in designing SAP Enterprise Analytics platform.

We are specifically looking for the subject matter expert and thought leader in supporting the enterprise design for the business analytics platform.

The candidate’s primary job function includes but is not limited to the physical design of the SAP BW & SAP BW/4 back end and work with project teams to configure, implement and maintain the capabilities of the SAP BI solutions.

This candidate is also responsible in prototyping new technology solutions, establishing future state Planning & Reporting applications portfolio, perform fit gap analysis, and ensure process maps are aligned to business requirements, strategy, and transformation initiatives.

The candidate must possess strong communication and analytical skills to effectively work with peers within the Enterprise Technology Group , various external partners/vendors, and business users to determine requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

The candidate must have the ability to independently complete individual tasks in a dynamic environment to achieve departmental and company goals.

**Your Role Accountabilities:**
**Design and Implementation**

• Identify, assess, and solve business requirements using the full capabilities of the SAP BW/BI Solutions.

• Lead and participate in full lifecycle SAP BI implementation from requirements analysis, technical architecture design, application design and development till testing, and deployment.

• Provide guidance on appropriate use of the technology solution and ensure capabilities are effectively utilized at WBD

• Lead the build, implementation and support of SAP BW/4 HANA based solutions, including SAP SLT Replication from SAP BRIM, SAP S/4 extractors, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Enterprise HANA and SAP BI/Business Objects artifacts .

• Evaluates and prioritizes application change requests to ensure proposed solutions are viable and alternatives have been carefully considered.

• Explore and prototype new reporting and data warehousing technical solution and demonstrate its value proposition against a business case.

• Leadership responsibilities, leading a team of local resources and/or coordinating with offshore resources

• Ensure the quality and consistency of the development delivered by offshore resources

• Establishes QA practices and procedures.

Reviews the creation and execution of Unit, Functional Acceptance, String, and User Acceptance Testing to ensure solution testing is complete and well documented

• Ensures all changes meet appropriate standards and practices for development and testing, user sign off and approval to the productive environment.

**Data and Integrations Management**

• Manage data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes ensuring data quality and integrity

• Design and manage process chains for background data loads, monitoring their performance and ensuring successful data loads

• Optimize BW system performance through techniques like creating aggregates, compression, partitioning, and indexing

• Manag SAP BW data archival and storage with NLS

• Responsible for design, development and maintaining the data integration pipelines, ensuring data quality and consistency across the platforms

**Qualifications & Experiences:**

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management Information Systems or related equivalent experience.

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP BW/BI developer/technical lead/architect.

• 5+ years of Hands-on experience design, develop, and maintain SAP BW 7.5 or BW/4 on HANA, and HANA data models.

• 3+ years of experience with Native HANA modelling tools.

• 3+ years of experience with Business Objects Suite – front end tools

• Strong data modeling capabilities.

• Strong hands-on experience with HANA SQL.

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical terms relevant to SAP.

• Ability to adhere to schedules and project timelines and communication of issues/problems that may impact the ability to meet objectives.

• Ability to work in a team environment and across departments and/or functional modules, as well as technical support personnel and communicate effectively with both.

• Must possess excellent communication skills and can effectively interpret needs and requirements on technical level as well as the financial business process level.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects and learn new concepts/techniques and apply those in day-to-day activities and/or projects.

• Ability to design solutions that incorporate best practices with user’s requirements.

• Solid analytical, troubleshooting and testing skills.

Not Required but preferred experience:

● E xperience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

● Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)

● Experience in S/4 Embedded Analytics

● Experience working in a global company

Discovery’s total compensation package for employees.

Pay Range: $161,070.00 - $299,130.00 salary per year.
