Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in the below posting location.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their project and client management skills while providing and making a direct impact to an already established growing organization!



Posting Location for this role: Effingham, IL



Job Activities:


+ Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact.

May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.

+ Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects.

+ Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.

+ Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.

+ Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be Engineer of Record on some projects.

+ Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits and designs for various projects.

+ May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer’s activities.

+ Actively participates in supporting business development efforts and attends client meetings and makes presentations in support of the client and projects.

+ Visits construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents




Specific Requirements include:


+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program

+ 8-20 years transportation or traffic engineering experience

+ IDOT or local agency IL project experience is required

+ Licensed IL Professional Engineer, PE

+ Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients and Administrators

+ Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously

+ Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and ORD preferred

Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
