Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing project strategies that will exceed client project expectations as you manage day-to-day project-level schedules, financials, and overall execution progress.
You will work directly with customers and have project P&L responsibility to include, but not limited to, establishing project budgets, cost and revenue forecasts, variance analysis, AP/AR management, and cash flow management.
In addition, you will:
Train and develop MasTec Project ManagersPlan and monitor projects by developing a detailed plan, identifying objectives, key stages, resources, and timelinesManage resources by allocating and optimizing human, financial, and material resources for the projectIdentify, evaluate, and proactively manage all risks associated with the projectManage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule deliveryReport and communicate to the external customer(s) and internal management each dayBuild processes and teams required to deliver all project requirementsCoordinate with the Project Engineering and Construction teams for schedule planning, execution, and closeout of projectsLead weekly/monthly meetings with the client and project teamEnsure project completion and invoicing processes as required while achieving organizational cash flow expectationsPerform other duties as required, and/or assigned to meet Client and organizational goals Qualifications

Safety is a part of your day-to-day, ensuring that a project safety culture is the first requirement of a Project Manager You have a track record of completing work with a high level of qualityYou have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your workYou are looking for long-term projectsYou enjoy getting your hands dirty with your teamYou have a High School Diploma, or equivalentHave 5 years of project management experience in the following knowledge areas: Integration Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, Stakeholder ManagementHave advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointYou have intermediate experience in schedule managementYou can work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasksHave good verbal and written communication skillsHave precise hand-eye coordinationYou have clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationshipsYou have the ability to identify and distinguish colorsYou have the ability to read blueprints accuratelyYou have the ability to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadershipHave safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirementsYou have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field of studyYou have 10 or more years of construction project experienceYou have 3 or more years of supervisory experienceYou have a professional Engineer ( or Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationYou are proficient at reading project engineering designs and construction documents accuratelyYou have a fundamental knowledge of Primavera P6You have an OSHA 10 CertificationKnowledgeable in OSP fiber optic network engineering and construction best practices, including knowledge of ESRI/GIS systems and processes, is preferred but not required Hard work pays off.
