Location: Waltham MA – 100% Onsite

This role is ideal for a motivated individual passionate about delivering outstanding software solutions in the medical industry.

**Your role**

· Develop modern C (11’ or newer) based standalone medical device applications in Linux OS

· Experience developing UI with Qt

· Lead conceptualization, prototyping, design, and unit testing of application software

· Collaborate with a cross-functional team to improve application functionality

· Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and address software issues.

**Your skills and experience**

· 5 years of experience in application software development, with at least 2 years in the medical device or other regulated industries

· Shown proficiency in C development on Linux, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and design patterns

· Hands-on experience in GUI development in Qt is mandatory requirement for this position.

· Experience developing and editing cmake files and build scripts in a command line (bash) environment

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a team

· Participates in preclinical system experiments in the lab, with physicians, and 3rd parties

· Qualifications: Bachelors or master’s in computer engineering/ science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related fields.

**Optional skills and skill proficiencies**

· OpenGL experience

· Experience with software configuration management tools for source code control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), requirements management (JAMA)

· Experience with scrum framework

· Experience with IEC 62304 or FDA Class 3
