The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) post training team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive ML Engineer with strong machine learning background, to lead the development of industry-leading technology.

As a Senior ML engineer within the AGI team, you will be responsible for leading the development of novel algorithms and techniques to advance the state of Large Language Model (LLM) training.

You will leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.

You will collaborate closely with the Applied Scientists on LLM fine tuning experiments and prototypes to build automated training workflows.

Responsibilities-

- Will work with other team engineers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Work closely with Applied scientists to process data, scale and optimize machine learning models
- Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against rigid schedules.

About the team


Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
