Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO).

Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll be at the helm of this ambitious mission, architecting the systems that will connect millions to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution, as you guide the development, integration, and testing of satellite constellation systems.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hardware, software, system integration and test development of complex systems across the full product life cycle – concept to production.
- 3+ years in a technical lead, systems engineer, or technical program management role with significant experience architecting and integrating HW and SW into a complex system.
- 3+ years leading cross-functional teams delivering products on schedule.
- Proficiency with at least one schedule tracking tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet or alternative.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with high volume manufacturing test methods, concepts and solutions.
- Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, and Firmware teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trades.
- Experience in high speed characterization of devices, operation of high speed and high frequency test equipment, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
- Experience developing high-performance systems for aerospace applications.
- Experience in automated testing and system characterization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software) on time, to scope, with high quality.
- Ability to regularly engage with senior stake holders and influence across the organization.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines.
- High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.
