We work closely with engineering, quality, and customer support teams to ensure product excellence and rapid issue resolution.

**Position Overview**

As an SSD RMA Engineer, you will lead failure analysis efforts on returned SSDs, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions.

This role combines hands-on technical investigation with cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing support.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Perform electrical and mechanical failure analysis on returned SSDs.
+ Generate and deliver detailed failure analysis reports to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Lead escalated RMA cases, ensuring timely updates and resolution.
+ Set up and manage debug systems for error replication and Design of Experiments (DOE).
+ Provide technical consultation to customer-facing teams based on data-driven insights.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in product engineering, validation, or quality assurance.
+ Strong knowledge of SSD architecture and NAND flash memory operations.
+ Proven experience in system-level testing and failure analysis.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience in the storage industry and customer-facing technical roles.
+ Familiarity with PCIe, SATA, and bus tracing tools for debugging.
+ Strong time management and project coordination skills.
+ Self-motivated with a passion for technical growth.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$77,500.00 - $161,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.

The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.

Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
