**What You'll Be Doing**
**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for supervision and technical direction over a team of multi-disciplined Resource Leaders engaged in the execution of engineering related projects, ensuring total delivery of the services on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations.
The position will develop or review and approve Engineering Services Contracts with clients.
Work involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects.
The position will support the Office Leader in implementation of the direction provided by the Vice President of Operations.
Work at this level requires extensive, increasingly progressive experience in project management, construction management and engineering management.
This work will be performed under very little supervision but with general guidelines from the Office Leader.
**Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:**
+ Establishing a safe work environment and communicating the company commitment to safety to teammates and clients.
+ Validating professional service and construction contracts.
+ Reviewing and approving all services contracts that the business location enters into.
+ Planning and organizing the work of the team.
Communicating the plan to the team, the company leadership and the clients.
+ Maintaining control of the projects by ensuring that systems remain in place to maintain discipline performance, budget progress, schedule commitments, and quality standards.
Understanding and utilizing the project tools that are in place for project control.
+ Delegating work to Resource Leaders in proportion to their technical skills and experience, then following up for support to ensure efficient progress and quality.
+ Consulting with Office Operations Leaders from other business locations to coordinate the company objectives.
+ Familiarity with and utilization of office standards.
+ Familiarity with project performance and financials, and whether they are meeting client expectations.
+ Maintaining a solid reputation and an extensive network of relationships to develop opportunities.
+ Monitoring and maintaining the profitability of the office including reviewing department budgets as well as developing the overall office budget.
+ Confirmation of company approved procedures for developing engineering proposals
+ Technical contractual activities on all projects assigned to the office.
+ Developing relationships with new clients.
+ Promoting continuing relationships with the company clients.
+ Setting the guidelines for the planning of training programs, continuous education opportunities and professional development of staff.
**Ideal Background**
**Education:** Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil engineering from an accredited university is required.
**Registration:** Professional Engineer registration is highly preferred or may be required.
**Experience:** This position requires 15 or more years of relevant industrial experience in project management, construction management and engineering management.
