Primary Purpose
Support SAS team in formatting instructional materials, organization of files/equipment, check-in, set up/cleanup, and proctor ADA exams in a computer-based and paper-and-pencil testing center for students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Responsible to provide test security, maintain confidentiality and accessibility when delivering and returning exams.
+ Support accessibility tasks delegated by the Accessible Technology Coordinator and additional Student Accessibility Services staff.
+ Communicate regularly with Accessible Technology Coordinator during the creation and remediation of course materials for accessibility and accommodation compliance.
+ Implement a variety of communication techniques in working with a diverse student population and students with disabilities.
+ Maintain the security of instructor’s exams by confirming the identity of testing candidates, and physically controlling access to tests.
+ Communicate regularly with Assistant Director and ADA Test Coordinator for upcoming exam appointments, and assigned support tasks.
+ Responsible for tracking candidates admitted to testing, in accordance with secure check-in procedures, and monitor attendance continuously throughout the entire exam session.
+ Comply with all applicable legal requirements relating to the activities of contracted and ADA related testing conducted by the area.
+ Work with assistive technology that may be required as part of implementation of ADA testing such as screen readers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned as they pertain to the overall objective of the position.

+ Ability to secure and track high-stakes testing materials.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Must have strong computer skills and be comfortable working with and in digital environments.
+ Ability to troubleshoot testing software from a varied and constantly changing assistive technology.
+ Able to work independently with minimal supervision within a “team environment.”
+ Ability to use software programs and database systems which include AIM , Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook email, Adobe Reader, and modern office equipment.
+ Ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds and other aspects of human diversity.
+ Must be able to be flexible with work schedule and travel to branch campuses as needed.
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, using English language with or without the use of an interpreter.
+ Ability to meet deadlines, set work priorities, and manage workload.
Ergonomic Requirements
Work is performed in a fast-paced office, with a customer service counter.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work that requires logging examinees into testing workstations and maintaining vigilance to assure test security.
Far visual acuity to actively proctor examinees is an essential requirement.
Employees will need to have an ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods.
The employee is regularly required to sit, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations.
Occasional lifting under 20 pounds may occur.
Working hours are regular per the established work schedule.
Computer screen is used more than 50 percent of the time.
All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
