Job Description
General Function:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of the Digital and Adaptive Technology Lab and the ADS Director, provide general assistance as needed. Convert textbooks into audio format to facilitate accessibility for students with disabilities. Conduct document remediation to ensure all course materials are accessible to students with varying needs. Collaborate with Coordinator of DAT Lab to identify and address specific accessibility requirements. Stay updated on assistive technology trends and tools to enhance the lab's services. Assist in providing training and support to students on the use of assistive technology tools. Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to assistive technology.
High school diploma. Ability to use audio conversion software and document remediation tools. Understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with ADS staff. Strong problem-solving skills in the context of assistive technology. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Computer skills Detail oriented Proofreading skills Customer service skills
