**Entergy’s Distribution Standards Department** is responsible for establishing the material and construction standards for Entergy’s distribution lines across the four-state territory.

**Intern Job Description:**

Working in a team environment to assist engineers and specialists in day to day activities including but not limited to:

+ Maintaining the standards library
+ Supporting enhancements to documentation and or system for the Standards team or our customers
+ Specific duties will vary based on projects and intern aptitude
+ Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
+ pgrading and / or automating current processes
+ Validate estimating prices and equipment units, ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects
+ Participate in planning coordination callsWork on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
+ Responding to equipment failuresSupport lab testing and operations
+ Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting, as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations
+ Travel may be required for the position

**Education Requirements:**

+ Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Civil engineering majors.
+ Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.
+ Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
