Job description

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversite of Inspira’s employee benefit offerings including health and welfare, voluntary, and retirement plans.

This position will work closely with the Benefit Plan Administrator to ensure that the benefit programs are functioning according to the plans.

This position will also coordinate benefit the open enrollment process; facilitate benefit presentations at General Employee Orientation and department level meetings; investigate benefit disputes and make recommendations for escalation to next level; create benefit ad-hoc reports from HRIS system; processes QMSCO, life insurance and long-term disability claims; oversite of tuition policy and procedures; investigate retirement plan inquiries; as well as assist in additional benefit projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Possess a minimum of 5-7 years of varied benefits experience 
  • Demonstrated experience with Leave of Absence Administration
  • Prior experience with Oracle and Empyrean a plus
  • Prior supervisory, or team leadership, experience also a plus.

  • Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Benefits and Leave of Absence Federal/State regulations
  • Strong computer skills and accurate data entry skills.

    Excel knowledge (Vlookup, pivot tables, and other functions) required.
  • Customer focused and a commitment to service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, administrative, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to accurately perform in a high volume, variable workload, environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Results oriented, works effectively and independently under general guidelines.
  • Evidence of prior experience managing specific benefit related projects, systems migrations, and/or benefit impacts of mergers and acquisitions a strong plus.
