Job Summary:
Under the leadership of the Outpatient Coding Manager, supervise the outpatient coding team in accurate assigning of diagnostic and procedural codes to outpatient medical records.
Will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations while optimizing efficiency and accuracy.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 3 years of outpatient coding experience is required.
Epic and other vendor/system experience.
Experience working for an Academic Medical Center and/or multi-hospital system is required.
Proficient in various computer applications, including Microsoft products.
A minimum of 4 years of outpatient coding experience is preferred.
Prior experience as a coding supervisor is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology or equivalent is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Information Administration, or other related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Strong communication, organizational, project management, analytics, presentation, and decisions-making skills.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $28.42 - $48.62.
Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.
