Job Title: Survey Project ManagerJob Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing survey plats and maps, including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and utility route surveys that meet current VDOT survey requirements.
Responsibilities also include individual project management, courthouse research, construction staking calculations, and occasional fieldwork.
The candidate will work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare survey plats and maps, including boundary, as-built, and topographic surveys.
+ Conduct utility route surveys and maps in compliance with VDOT survey requirements.
+ Manage individual projects and perform courthouse research.
+ Perform construction staking calculations and engage in occasional fieldwork.
+ Write fee proposals and communicate effectively with clients.
+ Work with minimal supervision to meet project scopes and schedules.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of three years of relative experience.
+ Experience and knowledge with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation programs.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to write fee proposals and effectively communicate with clients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Licensed as a Land Surveyor in Virginia or ability to obtain the license is preferred.
+ Familiarity with ALTA/ACSM surveys.
+ Proficiency in Carlson software, TBC and TGO, and Topcon capabilities desirable.
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and municipal regulations and codes.
+ Experience with GIS and GPS technology.
+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving probability, statistics, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
+ Ability to interpret construction plans, maps, plats, and legal descriptions.
+ Experience directing, supervising, training, and evaluating staff performance.

This position is based in Chantilly, VA.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
