Key Tasks:

DCCA is looking for TS/SCI w/Polygraph cleared Systems Administrators with Linux and Windows experience! We have multiple positions open in the Fort Meade/Annapolis Junction area.
+ Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
+ Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
+ Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
+ Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
+ Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
+ Configure and manage Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshooting, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
+ Optimize system operations and resources utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
+ Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems


Required Skills:
+ Must have experience supporting multiple operating systems, such as Linux, UNIX and/or Windows environments.
+ Experience with virtualization (to include VMware specifically)
+ Ability to create/write scripts and modify existing scripts – bash, perl, shell, python, etc.




Desired Skills:
+ Familiarity with networking concepts, or a background in network administration is a plus


Required Education / Certifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of related experience; or 15 years of experience as a System Administrator without a degree.



The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is 139,000 to 185,000.

Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
