This position requires a Top-Secret/SCI Clearance.
Target Start Date: Q1 2025Responsibilities:
• Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware, software, and administers system accounts to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and systems monitoring.
• Consults on network, application, and customer service issues supporting systems, security, and sustainability.Required Job Experience:
• Administration of E-mail, directory technologies, Windows, IOS, Linux, VMware, VDI, Veeam, Exchange, O365, SMTP gateways, Symantec Anti-virus, and Active Directory.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain domain and build configuration improving Active Directory.
• Manage storage, back-up, monitor and manage system resources including CPU usage, disk usage, tape backup systems, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Develop scripts to resolve performance problems and automate systems administration tasks.
• Disaster recovery testing and continuity of operations planning.
• Maintain system documentation, logs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production problems.
• Maintain network security authentication through DOD PKI/CAC requirements.
• Document network policies and procedures and implement DIACAP requirements.
• Deploy Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems for classified and unclassified networks.
• Monitor physical and virtual system performance.
• Clearly document work procedures and work effectively in coordination with other staff.
• Think logically and act decisively in critical situations with a positive customer orientation.
• Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.
• Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
• Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
• Manage server resources for performance, capacity, availability, and recoverability.
• Perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware.
• Risk management and methods for assessing and mitigating risk.
• Cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance.
• Account creation, password rules, and access control.
• Cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid on/off-prem environments.
• Experience with VMware, View, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, System Center Data Protection Manager, Microsoft Configuration Manager, and SQL Clusters.Degree (Required or certifications below can be substituted in lieu of):
• BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.Certification (Preferred one of the following in lieu of Required Degree):
• Certified Network Defender
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Cloud+
• CompTIA Security+
• GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner
