The System Architect develops strategic solutions integrating diverse Commercial Off-the shelf (COTS) tools into a unified system solutions based upon requirements.
Uses COTS tools in conjunction with Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS) delivered solutions to meet customer requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team.
Analyzes the impact of planned and unplanned modifications and innovative recommendations for adjustments to the architecture.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provides input regarding the applicability of tool integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes systems information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.
Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communication to support the total requirements and interfaces.
Ensures the systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architecture and profiles of standards as the apply to the implementation and specific to the solutions for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interface.
Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
Ensure that the common operating system is compliant and provides daily supervision and direction to staff.

Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DD 8570) requirement for this position: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.
Required Education & Experience: High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience.
AD (+10) years of relevant experience.
BA/BD (+6) years of relevant experience.
Master's degree (+4) years of relevant experience, or PHD (+2) years of relevant experience.
