**Description:** You will be the Lead System Architect for the Shared Simulation Software (SSS) team.

Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high‑fidelity simulation software that supports multiple aircraft platforms across Lockheed Martin, enabling accurate mission‑level modeling and rapid integration for development and test programs.
**What You Will Be Doing:**
As the Lead System Architect you will be responsible for defining the long‑term technical vision for the SSS portfolio and ensuring all engineering work aligns with that vision.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating and maintaining an Architectural Roadmap that outlines future capabilities, technology standards, and migration paths for shared simulation software.
• Defining system‑design guidelines and enforcing compliance across all engineering deliverables to guarantee consistency, scalability, and re‑usability.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to the SSS engineers, reviewing designs, and guiding implementation to meet performance and fidelity goals.
• Supporting multiple aircraft simulation platforms by integrating new models, tools, and interfaces, and coordinating with cross‑functional program teams to align simulation solutions with program requirements.

**This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.**
**You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.**
**Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• The candidate will have fighter aircraft simulation experience.
• The candidate will be familiar an Architectural Roadmap
**Desired Skills:**
• Basis of Estimate (BOE) creation skills
• Familiar with LM Digital Transformation Strategies
• Experience as an Agile Product Owner
• Large scale complex software development experience
• Knowledge of Fifth Generation fighter aircraft
• Experience in developing system design for MITL/HITL Simulations / Stimulations
• Familiar with SysML, Cameo and/or Rhapsody.
• Sensor modeling experience
• Familiar with the Work Product Evaluation (WPE) process
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
