About the Role

We are seeking a System Development Engineer to support our Event Engineering team.

This team is responsible for ensuring the video quality and stability of large and/or strategically important streaming events.

You will be part of a team of Event Engineers that supports events by assisting in event planning, providing an onsite presence during events, serving as a technical point of contact for third parties, engaging in high touch onboarding, troubleshooting video problems and supporting feature development activities such as Enhanced Broadcasting.

You Will

- Provide pre-production consulting, capacity planning, preflight testing and active monitoring for events from both remote and onsite contexts
- Act as a technical point of contact for third-parties
- Engage in high-touch onboarding for Twitch partners, VIPs and other strategic individuals
- Troubleshoot video problems for other Twitch teams
- Assist product teams with video-related Twitch feature development

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience designing live production setups
- Proven ability to deliver under pressure in a live environment.

Preferably TV or streaming video.
- Ability to collaborate with Network, Ops, Systems and Software Engineers on improving event execution, application performance and system requirements
- Strong organization, communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS’ Interactive Video Service (IVS)
- A passion for eSports and gaming events
- Experience in event management (even better if you have eSports experience)
- Software development experience in any language

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
