We are currently searching for a Systems Engineering Co-Op to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA.

As a systems engineer in the Avionics Computing Products department, you will be part of a multi-functional team comprised of systems and hardware engineers leading the development of all computing products for the Avionics Business Unit.

**Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run May/June- December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).**

**What You Will Do:**

+ Capture system requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures
+ Integrate, validate, and verify system functionality in the lab
+ Technical collaboration among design functional domains.
+ Assist in resolving technical problems that cross functional domain areas.

**What You Will Learn:**

+ How to navigate thought the complex regulatory compliance requirements of the FAA and EASA.
+ Complex project coordination using Agile framework
+ Complex troubleshooting skills that cross functional domains
+ Avionics safety critical system design and compliance to DO-178C, DO-254

**Qualifications You Must Have:**

+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role.

If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
