This position is being recruited internally and externally.
Preference will be given to qualified internal candidates first.
This position is being posted at multiple levels.
The successful candidate will be placed appropriately depending on experience.
Works with the operation of the District's transmission and distribution system ensuring delivery of continuous, reliable, efficient, and safe electrical power to all District customers in coordination with other Northwest Utilities.
Receives direction from the Energy Control General Foreman and reports to the Energy Control Superintendent.
The System Operator I (SOI) classification is distinguished from the System Operator Apprentice (SOA) classification by the increased technical knowledge and skills required to perform the work.
Incumbents are required to advance to System Operator II by obtaining NERC Transmission Operator Certification within twelve (12) months from date of hire and successful completion of Energy Control Center On-Job-Training with approval by the Energy Control Superintendent to operate the distribution and transmission systems.
