**HOW A** **Systems Administrator** **WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:**

+ Configuring and maintaining complex Active Directory forests and domains across a intricate network with over 10,000 users and 20,000 Active Directory objects.
+ Working within a bastion forest solution to provide comprehensive security and management across multiple Active Directory forests.
+ Continually monitoring the environment to ensure best practices and Federal guidelines are being followed.
+ Creating advanced monitoring strategies for monitoring and reporting the health of Active Directory components.
+ Recording problem symptoms and status information in a timely fashion and communicating internally within IT and externally with the customer through problem resolution.
+ Conducting complex troubleshooting and repair tasks on Active Directory, Windows Server 2008-2019, Domain Controllers, user authentication and other operational systems as needed.
+ Monitoring, backup, and restoration procedures for Active Directory.
+ Documenting new system components, or modifications to existing components
+ Ensuring the security and integrity of system and product solutions.
+ Participating in on-call rotation (as required) for emergency technical support and planned maintenance activities.
+ Performing research, procurement, deployment and configuration of systems.
+ Presenting clear, organized & concise information to audiences to enable business decisions.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:**

+ **Education** : BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline (May substitute experience for education)
+ **Required Experience** : 3- 8 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity
+ **Required Technical Skills** : DoD 8140 compliance required.

(CompTIA Security+)
+ **Security Clearance Level** : Active Top Secret (must have a T5 or T5R investigation within the last 5 years)
+ **Required Skills and Abilities:** Highly motivated, self-starter with great communications skills; effective problem solver; able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
+ **Location** : Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
