Join VectorUSA’s growing technical team as a Systems Administrator I, supporting both cloud-based and physical infrastructure.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to maintain high-availability environments, automate routine tasks, and ensure secure, scalable systems for our clients.

  • What Your Typical Day Will Be:

  • Monitor and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems.

  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and backups across Windows, Linux, and virtual environments.

  • Support and troubleshoot VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, VDI pools).

  • Manage cloud services (e.g., AWS) and assist in cloud migration and automation efforts.

  • Automate recurring tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).

  • Maintain and document system configurations, procedures, and incident responses.

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for technical issues, including Sev1 incident response.

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployments and infrastructure changes.

  • Support 24/7 operational environment.
  • What You Bring to The Table:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent military/corporate training.

  • 1+ years of experience in systems administration, IT operations, or technical support.

  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, VDI).

  • Basic cloud computing knowledge (AWS preferred).

  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Must meet all requirements to obtain a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

  • Exposure to Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Mac OS environments.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).

  • Experience with network configuration and VOIP systems.

  • Certifications: A+, Network+, VMware, AWS, Ubiquiti (preferred but not required).
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform tasks requiring climbing, crouching, and kneeling.

  • Work may involve varied shifts including nights and weekends.
  • Compensation Range Starting at: $27.00/hr.
