Job Summary:
Engage Business partners to validate requirements, build in production and follow change management processes and implement content in production.
General build: Inpatient ClinDoc build/functionality, Orders, Order sets, Best Practice Alerts (BPAs), and order transmittal, etc.
Candidate will be responsible for making system configuration changes in the Epic application (KP HealthConnect).
Essential Functions: Responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of KP Health Connect application software and business operations to ensure that the application is configured to support business requirements.
Configures EPIC applications by translating business requirements into software specifications.
Acts as a liaison between KP Health Connect and other departments regarding configuration issues.
Executes test plans for configuration testing; performs problem resolution of configuration.
Performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collections, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of KP Health Connect software.
Develops and documents internal decisions that the form the basis for the design decisions within the Health Connect applications.
Collaborates with process design, interfaces, testing and implementation teams.
Conducts comprehensive evaluations and tests new releases.
Prioritizes and implements system updates and changes; communicates changes to users prior to granting access to new releases.
Performs other duties as directed.
Required Experience: Configuration, application implementation, detail analysis, and installation experience required or three years of progressively responsible experience performing detailed analysis and in-depth knowledge of healthcare information management systems required.
EPIC Certification.
Database management and basic software configuration skills.
PLEASE NOTE: This CANNOT be a newly certified candidate-they must have worked the 3 years post certification.
Preferred Experience: Experience within the Healthcare Industry.
Expertise in data structures, content and interpretation of specific data elements.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, and or Business.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for system build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications.
This position will possess clinical or IT systems knowledge and experience to develop and support safe and high quality care using the electronic health record.
This position will perform in depth and precise investigation and documentation of future- state operational specifications and application functionality.
Performing analysis of application capabilities workflows, data collection, report details, and other clinical and/or technical issues associated with Epic software.
This position is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications.
Some of the unique challenges this position will face include analyzing clinical and business operations and investigating user preferences; prioritizing & implementing requested system changes & updates; serving as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff.
This position develops and documents internal procedures, collects information and prepares specifications of system enhancements, analyzes functionality in new releases and tests each new release.

+ Supports stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems (e.g., systems, applications, network, databases, storage, security) by monitoring systems to identify problems, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Assists technical and project team members to resolve system problems and application-specific issues.
+ Escalates identified issues, risks or problems to lead administrators according to processes.
+ Plans and performs complex system configuration.
+ Supports communications with product users and suppliers to share information, identify opportunities, resolve problems, prioritize customer requirements, and maintain continuous improvement through customer feedback.
+ Defines and tests maintenance and refresh activities.
+ Participates in the installation, upgrade, or decommissioning of designated systems, products, and infrastructure.
+ Assists with application-oriented administration and technical support for production and non-production environments.
+ Supports vendor support activities, as appropriate.
+ Recommends and executes performance tuning and optimization activities.
+ Creates documentation of new and existing system configuration and procedural information, and reviews documentation of others.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum two (2) years experience working with EPIC or comparable health system software OR Minimum two (2) years scripting or programming experience.
+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care or related field and Minimum three (3) years working in IT or operations.
Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
