Salary Range: $52,725.89 - $73,236.48
POSITION SUMMARY The Systems Administrator implements, configures, maintains, and supports internal and external Microsoft networks.
Resolves network performance issues and provides support as necessary to users.
The administrator facilitates requirements gathering sessions, conducts research and analysis, and produces recommendations to support decision-making processes.
This role requires a forward-thinking professional with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to harnessing technology to enhance educational outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or technical certification preferred, or technical certification preferred.
Relevant Certifications: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Cisco and Microsoft Active Directory certifications preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Information Technology support, Microsoft server solutions, disaster recovery, email and data center support.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft server environments.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate implementation efforts.
• Experience with backup systems and their ongoing maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, including Microsoft Project and Visio, as well as experience with virtual networking and disaster recovery systems.
• Experience working with Storage Area Networks (SANs).
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines.
• Strong understanding of Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
• Experience with software installation and deployment.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse groups and personnel at all organizational levels.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Customer-service orientation with a collaborative and team-focused mindset.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software applications to determine whether issues are related to software, hardware, or network components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Perform regular system and server maintenance to ensure the integrity and optimal functionality of educational and information systems • Monitor all critical infrastructure, server and application resources to speedily react to outages and reduce network downtime.
• Analyze problems and recommend efficient solutions to ensure the consistent operation and functionality of district networks and systems.
• Manage medium to large-sized projects by coordinating with IT partners, business function experts, and vendors to enhance systems and address educational and information needs.
• Create documentation for network systems using various mediums as needed.
• Manage and maintains Microsoft Active Directory and Azure systems and other Microsoft resources, web services and their interoperation with district infrastructure.
• Responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting internal and external Microsoft networks and virtual machines.
• Manage the Districts data backup systems, both at the district office and at disaster recovery sites.
• Manage and supports Microsoft Office 365 Products used by the District.
• Maintain and support the District’s Storage Area Network, both at the district office and at disaster recovery sites.
• Receive, review, prepare, and submit various records and reports, including user notes, programming requests, user instructions, computer reports, program documentation, memos, and correspondence.
• Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and requests for assistance related to educational and information systems.
• Conducts and/or attends meetings as required.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside of normal work hours, as assigned.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND WORKING CONDITIONS Vision: Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolonged periods of time.
Hearing: Ability to tolerate exposure to noisy conditions.
Speech: Ability to be understood in face-to-face communications, to speak with a level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone, computer, or virtual setting.
Upper Body Mobility: Ability to use hands to grasp and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers; twist and bend at wrist and elbows; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn, raise, and lower head.
Strength: Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects which weigh fifteen (15) or more pounds on a frequent basis.
Environmental Requirements: Ability to work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors; work outdoors as necessary for the position.
