AWS Cryptography and Identity are building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security.
We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, and much more.
We enable our customers to control some of the most sensitive secrets on the Internet.
In this role, you will join a team of highly talented engineers operating Cryptography and Identity systems.

A successful systems development engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and triage problems.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
