Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Systems Engineer - Cross Program Integration (Gateway) on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration (HSFTIC) contract at Marshall Space Flight Center (Huntsville, AL).

Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer – Cross Program Integration (Gateway) will:
Coordinate and Interface with multiple programs across the NASA agency from inception to launch to ensure alignment of all operations, design interfaces and technical integration performance. Perform integration related to the Gateway integrated stack and specifically Cross Program integration with Gateway stack and modules. Serve as Change Package Engineer to foster review of cross program related document through the complete review process. Assist with functional decomposition of requirements into verification requirements that can be verified and validated. Perform technical assessments of proposed internal and external interactions, requirements, planning and execution to understand the impacts imposed by external design and product development and updates. Identify and communicate risks associated with visiting vehicle design and operation. Incorporate process improvement initiatives that promote the progression of Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) expertise within a more digitized SE&I environment which incorporates data digitization systems including product life cycle management, requirements management, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches. Establish working relationships with NASA leads, requirement owners, and commercial teammates' key personnel to gain their advocacy in the implementation of innovative data integration solutions for performing more efficient SE&I functions. Provide technical systems knowledge and expertise during major project milestones and project reviews to support SE&I teams through action resolution. Perform other duties as required.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus five (5) years of appropriate work experience. - OR -
BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience. Applied knowledge of product life cycle development, sound systems engineering & integration principles, and strong working knowledge of associated engineering disciplines. Applied working knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems. Knowledge of data digitization systems, tools, or initiatives that promote the digitization of the systems engineering & integration discipline. Knowledge of Space Exploration programs (Gateway, ISS, Orion, etc.). Experience with innovation or process improvements projects and initiatives. Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Preferences:
INCOSE Certified System Engineering Profession (CSEP). Master of Science degree in Systems Engineer (MSSE). Working experience with product lifecycle management software JIRA or other similar tools. Working experience with data digitization software for systems engineering. Working experience with DOORS requirements management software or other requirements management software. Working experience with Rhapsody, MagicDraw, or other systems modeling software. Working experience with Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD modeling suite. Working knowledge of Python and Visual Basic. Essential Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
