PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Systems Engineer – Integration & Test to join our team supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs in Baltimore, MD.
This 1-year contract-to-hire position works on second shift under a 9/80 schedule and requires an active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
The role involves supporting system-level hardware qualification testing for Environmental, EMI, and Electrical Power systems in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with at least 5 years of related engineering experience, or
Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or
PhD with relevant education, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware integration issues
Hands-on experience with systems hardware, test setups, and qualification testing
Familiarity with executing MATLAB scripts for test automation or data analysis
Ability to communicate technical findings clearly across engineering and leadership teams
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MATLAB Automated Test Environment (MATE) scripting and analysis
Background in RF hardware, EMI/EMC testing, or Environmental Qualification Testing
Experience executing formal system integration and test procedures in a laboratory setting
Familiarity with hardware/software troubleshooting in complex test environments
Strong understanding of test documentation, procedures, and system reporting
Key Responsibilities:
Operate system benches and execute test procedures for Environmental, EMI, and Power testing
Support troubleshooting and analysis of hardware failures and test anomalies
Process and analyze test data to generate qualification reports and test documentation (SDRLs)
Recommend test equipment or procedure modifications based on test results
Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to support verification and issue resolution
Maintain interface documentation and support setup of test environments in lab facilities
Ensure all testing activities comply with established I&T processes and safety protocols
