Urgent! Systems Engineer Job Opening In Lothian – Now Hiring ManTech
**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior **Systems Engineer** to join our team in **Patuxent River, MD** .
This is an **onsite** position.
This position provides support to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED) for Platform Stores Integration (PSI) projects.
This position is an opportunity to provide comprehensive systems engineering support for weapon systems acquisition and lifecycle.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Coordinating and conducting projects as assigned by the Platform/Stores Integration competency manager and in support of the Program Manager and IPT leaders in the development of systems.
+ Developing requirements and store integration plans to ensure total weapon system performance.
+ Managing and executing the airworthiness process for all store integration activities.
+ Coordinating data requirements with airworthiness subject matter experts and ensuring they meet established NAVAIR airworthiness requirements.
+ Reviewing flight clearances for technical accuracy and safety of flight.
+ Planning, organizing, and leading weapons and store integration activities.
+ Reviewing and preparing various project documentation such as test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), contractor design approaches, and results of contractor development testing to understand the background and identify possible integration problem areas.
+ Preparing project correspondence such as test plans, technical reports, letters, and memorandums.
+ Serves as Navy, IPT and store integration department representative during participation at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, mockup reviews, seminars and symposia.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Scientific field from an accredited college or university
+ 10+ years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position with three 3+ years directly related to DoD systems
+ Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required
+ Must have weapons and store integration experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with airworthiness and NAVAIR airworthiness requirements, flight clearances, and safety of flight
+ Experience with H-60 aircraft and rotary wing flight operations
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have an active Secret security clearance.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Tasking is primarily computer based.
The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC as well as operate other typical office equipment (e.g. copying machine, shredder, projection systems, etc.).
+ Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).
