Could be for new build out within existing datacenters, building out new co-location facilities
Large need for Data center experience in (Production style)
Experience with multiple different hardware types
Routers, servers, switches, carrier circuits, power circuits, cabinets
Take on projects from internal platform team
- Evaluate, review before accepting into Client DC capabilities
High & Low Voltage experience
Physical job – dealing with physical cabling and hardware (FIBER, copper, links)
Network knowledge, knowing what is needed to have the network come together
LAN/WAN/ Wireless responsibilities when it comes to security
No CISCO certifications required but a plus
On-call (every couple of months) – 1 week every quarter or so, answer any text or pages – possibly a need to come onsite
5 days x onsite
Could be a fit for a storage focused resources looking to get into a data center environment

Role:
• Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and Client networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies, and growth
• Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally
• Installation and support of enterprise class IT hardware in a production data center environment
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment
• Manage and implement network projects, overseeing the installation and support of network communications
• Understand and incorporate new server, network, and storage products into the Client Operations environment
All About You:
• Intermediate IT Experience, including being involved in IT projects on a full-time basis
• Networking, including LAN/WAN, wireless and Security technologies
• TCP/IP protocol communications
• Knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio
• Understanding and utilization of high-level Project Management methodologies and best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with good listening and interpersonal skills
• Extremely detail oriented for all responsibilities
• Displays work behaviors of high integrity and honesty
• Able to take direction and follow established processes and procedures
