Tampa Security Operations Manager
As an Operations Manager for Nation Security, you will manage a large security team delivering services on customer sites.
You will support your area's development, operations, and profitability by ensuring optimal business performance, contract compliance, and service delivery.
Role and Responsibilities:
This full-time role may require managing 24x7 operations and being available for emergencies outside of normal hours.
Flexible working arrangements may be available, and you could be based at a large site or oversee multiple sites.

- Managing your area, including support, discipline, grievances, and recruitment
- Setting goals and objectives for your team, including supervisory roles
- Acting as a role model, aligning with company values
- Driving employee engagement through personal interaction and coaching
- Managing contractual budgets in line with financial targets
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance in security service delivery
- Maintaining sufficiently trained, licensed, and vetted staff to meet requirements
- Ensuring all staff complete required training and screening/vetting
- Developing professional customer relationships and addressing their requests and concerns
- Completing health & safety assessments, reporting incidents, participating in investigations, and contributing to health & safety committees
- Conducting risk assessments, site evaluations, and preparing monthly performance reports and billing schedules
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in security management or a related field
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and regulations
- Experience in a militarized environment is a plus
- Checkable personal history, including education, employment, travel, and unemployment periods
- Prior operational management experience, ideally within the security industry
- Valid security industry license or accepted certificate of security competence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to successfully manage a team
- Track record of working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
This role is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols while managing personnel and resources to ensure effective protection across all sites.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in security management, proven leadership skills, and the ability to respond decisively to incidents and emergencies.
